HUG WORDS

A story about self-acceptance. Helping children to worry less and wonder more.

Blake doesn’t like the way she looks, walks, talks or thinks. She feels tangled, fizzy, messy and stressy. A day out with her brothers helps her discover the tools she needs to help clear her head.

HUG WORDS is an illustrated book for ages 7-11.

Ready to Meet Blake?

Although Blake is wild and wise and wonderful, she finds it easier to believe negative things about herself. She prefers to sit inside all day. Her brothers encourage her to take her thoughts for a walk, and she agrees to spend the day with them. Blake learns that there are five key ways to help keep our minds well.
